j bought harry potter at the stroke of 1am. he bundled off to sleep for his round-germany trip so I had the book for the night. till 6am, till the sun came out and the birds tittering. then a cat nap before another round II from 11am till 3pm in the bookshop. as I strode into the childrens section, I overheard an american woman chatting with the cashier. where is the damn book? it should be at the front of the shop...
I cried, because my two favourite characters were killed and confused. ok, more like shed tears. but how could rowling do such a thing? and the book was but a mere introduction for 7.
I believe she killed off dumbledore because SOMEBODY important has to die. and she used snape because there has been a growing group of fans adoring snape.
making no sense, yes, but. what a major disappointment.
in other news, the weather has been so unbearably hot I had to dig out the pair of shorts in the deep recesses of my wardrobe (I chucked them there since day 1) as PJs. I threw the window open, but the heat made the smell from the dustbins at the foot of my block waft up. and in the morning, I could tan my legs while sleeping.
definitely jumping into the lake later.
